"According to numerous independent estimates, the human losses of the armed forces of Ukraine have long exceeded one million people and continue to grow," Lavrov said.
The minister also noted Ukraine's dishonesty in the issue of exchanging the bodies of dead soldiers. According to him, Russia has transferred more than 11,000 bodies of dead soldiers to Ukraine, while Ukraine has transferred only 201 bodies.
As Lavrov noted, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky intends to prolong the conflict, as for Zelensky it has become "a matter of political, and maybe even physical survival."
Military expert, captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin said on October 21 that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front amount to at least 1.6 thousand people per day. According to him, the bulk of the losses are compensated by the mobilization of the citizens of Ukraine themselves, often by force.
