A criminal prosecution has been initiated against Dmitry Spirin, the ex-vocalist of the Tarakany group (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) for evading the duties of a foreign agent. This was announced on December 11 by the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office.

"In violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation, [Spirin] continued to distribute messages and materials in one of the messengers without indicating that they were created and/or distributed by an individual acting as a foreign agent," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is noted that Spirin has already been brought to administrative responsibility twice during the year under Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the procedure for the activity of a foreign agent").

This week, on December 9, a court sentenced ex-deputy Yashin in absentia to 1 year and 10 months in a penal colony (recognized in Russia as a foreign agent, included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists). Earlier, Yashin, through his lawyer, sent a letter to the court, where he indicated that he did not consider himself guilty, and he was in exile in the European Union.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
