Temporary restrictions on the use of airspace have been introduced at the Moscow air hub, which is why Aeroflot has adjusted its schedule, postponing the departure time of some flights and canceling some of them. This was reported on December 11 in the official Telegram channel of the airline.

Aeroflot clarified that several aircraft were redirected to alternate airfields.

"Some of the flights were sent to alternate airfields in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan," the report says.

Passengers are asked to keep a close eye on updates in the online scoreboard, the Booking Management section, as well as airport announcements. The airline offered passengers of cancelled flights to refund the cost of tickets or to reissue them for other dates for free.

"The reissue takes place for flights operated on the same route and in the same class of service (with a simultaneous corresponding change in the dates of other flights under the SU code) without charging additional fees," the press service said.

Registration is available through the website, mobile application, chatbot or contact center.

The diverted flights are accepted by Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg.

Earlier in the day, temporary restrictions were imposed at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports. Since the evening of December 10, restrictions have also been in effect in Sheremetyevo.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
