Russians were told about mistakes when storing alcohol on the balcony
Storing alcoholic beverages on the balcony in the cold can lead to loss of taste and spoilage of the product. This was reported on December 11 by Gazeta.Ru" Fatima Balikoeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Fermentation Technology and Winemaking at ROSBIOTECH University.
She explained that alcohol is extremely sensitive to temperature changes. According to her, champagne and sparkling wines are particularly vulnerable. Changing the pressure in the bottle can cause gas leakage or even rupture of the glass.
"Vodka loses its taste after strong cooling, too," she stressed.
The expert added that storing alcohol in the sun is also unacceptable. According to her, photochemical reactions can destroy the chemical compounds of the drink. The first signal is a fading label. Balikoeva also recommended not to put alcohol in the refrigerator unnecessarily. She recalled that low temperatures can change the texture of liqueurs and make whiskey cloudy.
Earlier, on December 8, it was reported that alcohol production in Russia decreased by 6.7% compared to last year. According to Rosalkogoltakcontrol, the production of spirits decreased, while the production of grape and sparkling wines increased. At the same time, the most significant reduction was recorded in the segment of low—alcohol beverages - minus 86.3%.
