The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Ukraine's Ambassador to Tel Aviv, Yevhen Korniychuk. This was reported on December 10 by the Ynet portal.

The reason for the call was the critical statements of the Ukrainian diplomat addressed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who spoke about his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Israeli Deputy Foreign Ministry Director General Yuval Fox told Korniychuk that his words were "completely unacceptable" and violated diplomatic protocol.
