Two Chinese crossovers will leave the Russian market
BAIC will stop selling the X35 and X7 models in Russia. This was reported on December 10 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the press service of the Chinese automaker.
"We're selling cars. And that's it," said a representative of the brand. He clarified that the X7 is the last generation of the X75, and the new generation of the X35 is not even in China yet.
The X75 crossover, as well as the X55, will remain in the Russian line of the BAIC brand. The company plans to place an order for front-wheel drive versions of this series of cars, and in 2027 it plans to bring all-wheel drive versions of these crossovers to the market.
In addition, BAIC will expand the off-road vehicle range in Russia, with two new models joining the already available BJ40 and BJ60 frames in 2026: the BJ30 and BJ41.
On December 8, the analytical agency Autostat reported that in November of this year, 20 models entered the Russian car market, which had not previously appeared in the registration statistics in the Russian Federation. More than half of the list of new products in the passenger car segment are Chinese. Only two models are officially available on the Russian market.
