The service hosted the premiere of a documentary created by VK Video and Stereotactic studio, with the participation of Mash. In the center of the narrative: the story of a long—term marriage conman Dmitry Frolov and his victims - single women who united to find and punish the criminal.

She was preparing for the wedding, he was preparing to disappear: Frolov was not a handsome man from glossy magazines — on the contrary, the fraudster seemed to be the most ordinary person who came to the rescue in difficult times, enjoyed the trust and charmed his victims. Years of unpunished crimes, millions of stolen rubles, a change of appearance, forgery of documents, escapes and revelations — all this became part of his double life. But one day he ran into someone who refused to forgive deception.

The main character of the film, Alina Milennaya, was going to get married, but her "fiance" disappeared, taking with him six million rubles. Instead of accepting the loss, Alina filed a police report, contacted the program "Man and the Law" and began her own investigation. She joined dozens of other victims of Frolov and inspired them to fight for justice. Together, the women launched a large-scale operation to capture the conman, showing that solidarity, perseverance and hope can prevail over even the most sophisticated criminal.

The film uses exclusive interviews with participants and victims, as well as game reconstructions of key episodes and unique materials: real photos, videos and recordings of the fraudster's voice. The author of the project is journalist Daria Cherkudinova, the director is the author of the film "Bonfires and Stars" Vladimir Sorokin.

"At first glance, it might seem that this film is a typical revenge drama driven by vindictive malice. But don't rush to write him down as a Survivor. The heroine is not driven by resentment, but by the desire to create herself anew and heal the trauma. This is a film about strength, self-love and humanity. The film is about a real hero, whose example is sure to inspire the viewer to go on, not stop and overcome any difficulties without losing self—irony," said Sorokin.

The movie "The Conman. Runaway from under the Crown" is not just an exciting true crime and a true detective documentary, but also an important social statement. In Russia, thousands of people fall victim to scams every year, losing money, trust, and peace of mind. This story is a reminder that no one is immune from deception, but together you can achieve justice.
