Mobile Internet access is temporarily restricted in the Smolensk region due to the danger of a UAV attack. This was announced on December 10 by the governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin in his Telegram channel.

"This measure was taken solely for the purpose of ensuring the safety of people and preserving infrastructure facilities. I ask you to understand this decision. It was adopted for an indefinite period and is necessary given the current situation," Anokhin wrote.

The Governor recalled the need to comply with security measures. In particular, to immediately inform the special services in case of detection of drone parts. He also recalled the ban on the dissemination of information about the consequences of the use of UAVs, on the operation of air defense and electronic warfare systems, as well as on the places of protection of fuel and energy complex facilities.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems destroyed 21 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). over the territory of Russia. Thus, four Ukrainian drones were eliminated over the territory of the Kaluga region, 16 UAVs over the Bryansk region and one over the Moscow region.
