The European Union (EU) has already lost in the conflict in Ukraine, but many in Brussels do not want it to end in order to keep their posts. This was announced on December 10 by Italian Deputy Prime Minister and head of the League party Matteo Salvini.

"There are impressions that in Europe, not to save lives in Ukraine, but to save their chair, someone is not interested in establishing peace," he said on the Rete4 TV channel.
