In Russia, the position of commissioner for real estate transactions may appear, which will help resolve disputes between the parties. Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma (State Duma) and a member of the Liberal Democratic Party, told Izvestia about this on December 10 amid the scandal over the sale of singer Larisa Dolina's apartment.

"Our key task today is to create <...> legal mechanisms, first of all, so that both the claimant and the defendant, as well as the seller and the buyer, when talking about real estate transactions, come prepared to the court of first instance. <...> Therefore, I proposed the position of the ombudsman for real estate transactions," he said.

The scandal surrounding Larisa Dolina is not the only reason for this initiative. Chernyshov noted that the introduction of this position will help to make more active use of settlement agreements and mediation. He stressed that this approach would reduce the burden on the courts and increase the effectiveness of dispute resolution in the real estate sector.

The scandal surrounding Larisa Dolina's apartment occurred due to her sale and subsequent return to the singer's ownership. The lawyer of Polina Lurie, the buyer of the singer's apartment, Svetlana Sviridenko, said on December 8 that at the time of the transaction there was no doubt about the singer's sanity. On the same day, it became known that Dolina, in her lawsuit against the buyer of the apartment, stated that she had not shown reasonable care when concluding the transaction.

On December 5, Lurie rejected Dolina's proposal for a settlement agreement related to the fraud case as unacceptable. Dmitry Borisov, the host of the "Let them Talk" program, noted that the customer refused to comment and urged them to wait for the court decision. It was clarified that on December 3, when the Supreme Court demanded the case materials, the singer's representative suggested that Lurie conclude an amicable agreement. The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation will consider the dispute over Dolina's apartment on December 16. The materials of the singer's civil case were transferred to the judge of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation for consideration.
