The Moscow City Court rejected the defense's complaints and recognized the detention of Vadim Moshkovich, the founder of the Rusagro agricultural holding, and Maxim Basov, the former CEO of the company, as lawful. This was reported on December 10 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

The businessmen's defense appealed the measure of restraint and asked the court to choose house arrest or accept bail in the amount of 1 billion rubles, but these petitions were rejected. Thus, they will both remain in jail.
