Ex-judge Trishkin, who shot the taxi driver, found a gun near the court
Albert Trishkin, an ex-judge of the Second Western District Military Court, who fired a traumatic pistol at a taxi driver in 2024, found the weapon near his place of work — next to the military court. This was reported on December 10 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
"He found a gun near his work, in Hospital Lane. After the conflict, he dismantled it and threw it on the MKAD," said the son of the ex—judge, who was in the car with his father at the time of the incident.
According to him, during the conflict, the victim provoked Trishkin, hit him in the face and intended to take away the weapon lying on his lap. In addition, the taxi driver allegedly tried to grab a rock and hit the car several times. The judge's son saw the gun for the first time — according to him, his father took it out of the glove compartment.
According to investigators, in August 2024, the ex-judge quarreled with a taxi driver who blocked his path and shot him in the leg with a Makarov traumatic pistol. According to Trishkin, he found the gun "behind the garages" two days before the incident and was going to hand it over to the police department, but did not have time.
Earlier it was reported that law enforcement officers were unable to find bullet casings at the scene of the conflict. It also became known that Trishkin was rude and threatened by a policeman who tried to get an explanation from him about the case. In turn, the ex-judge stated that he did not take the call from the Interior Ministry officer seriously, deciding that a fraudster had called him.
The court chose Trishkin's recognizance not to leave and proper behavior. In July, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation received permission from the Higher Qualification Board of Judges to initiate a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of moderate harm to health from hooligan motives motivated by hatred of any social group using objects used as weapons") paragraphs "d", "e", "z".
A criminal case was opened against Trishkin on September 28. It was noted that he faces up to five years in prison. Prior to that, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, asked for permission to initiate a case, shortly after which Trishkin resigned.
