Veterans of a special military operation (SVO) should not refuse the support of a psychotherapist who can really help in a difficult period of life. This advice was given on December 10 by Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko at the "Together we will Win" forum at the Rossiya National Center.

"This is psychological and psychiatric support. <...> I am the same as you, a man, and I probably also treat some issues with some kind of skepticism, but I assure you both as a doctor and as a person who has gone through certain stages with you that you cannot turn away from this," the minister said during the meeting. "There should be no stigmatization in this matter. And in no case should your relatives and friends even indirectly reproach you for something. On the contrary, they should be supportive in this situation," said the head of the Ministry of Health.

Murashko asked his veterans not to isolate themselves from their families. According to him, many drugs are currently being used and developed that change the psychological attitude and do not cause dependence.
