The growth in the number of trained personnel depends on many factors, including changes in the education system and the introduction of early career guidance. This was announced on December 10 by the Governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha at an expanded meeting of the commission of the State Council "Cadres".

"Special attention should be paid to decisions related in the short term to additional training, early career guidance, changes in the elements of education, and the active involvement of employers and industries in this process," he explained.

Shapsha noted that technological progress cannot be ignored, in particular, artificial intelligence, which in the medium term may change the human perception of professions and activities. In the long term, he said, it will be about automation and robotics.

"We must mobilize our resources, rebuild the education system and make new decisions in accordance with these challenges," the governor summed up.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the cost of education in Western countries is many times higher than the cost of education in Russia. The Head of State stressed that despite the paid education segment in Russia, total tuition costs remain significantly lower than in Western countries. He also drew attention to the importance of maintaining access to quality education for all Russian citizens.
