Russia and Vietnam are actively cooperating in the construction of nuclear power plants (NPP). This was announced on December 10 by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu at a press conference following his visit to Hanoi.

"According to the economic plan, there is quite active growth, there is room for development, there is something to do in terms of transport construction. I would especially like to mention the peaceful atom and the construction of nuclear power plants. You know that our Rosatom is a leader, a world leader," he stressed.

In addition to the peaceful atom, Russia and Vietnam discussed transport, agriculture, and military-technical cooperation. In addition, active cooperation in the field of information security continues, Shoigu added.

On October 16, Vietnamese Energy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son told Izvestia that Russia and Vietnam have a comprehensive strategic partnership. According to him, Vietnam continues to cooperate with the Russian Federation to ensure sustainable energy supplies and security for the people of the country.
