Shoigu spoke about the harbingers of the color revolutions
The interference of Western non-governmental organizations in the affairs of other states is becoming the main prerequisite for color revolutions. This was stated on December 10 by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu at a press conference following his visit to Vietnam.
"Today we already know and understand what is the harbinger of such [color] revolutions. The emergence of various levels of infrastructure, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) funded by the West. Of course, more and more specialists, states, and governments are beginning to realize that this is an issue that requires constant attention," he said.
According to the Secretary of the Security Council, this is also why the Russian delegation included cybersecurity specialists, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosgvardiya and financial monitoring. According to Shoigu, recent world events, including the Ukrainian crisis, did not occur without information interference in the affairs of states, without influencing young people and students.
In August, protests took place in Serbian Vrbas, during which almost 70 people were injured. A group of citizens of the republic expressed dissatisfaction in front of the building of the Serbian Progressive Party and its supporters. 64 people were injured in the protests, 16 of them policemen. The actions covered the offices of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad and other cities of Serbia.
Later, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the color revolution in the country had failed and the people needed to take steps towards reconciliation. Prior to that, he claimed that $4 billion was spent by foreign intelligence agencies on organizing street riots in Serbia in an attempt to overthrow the government.
