Time declared Leonardo DiCaprio the best artist of the year

American actor Leonardo DiCaprio was recognized as the artist of the year by Time magazine. The publication appeared on December 8 on the magazine's website.

"He always wanted to become an actor. Leonardo DiCaprio was recognized as the best artist of the year by Time," the publication says.

Despite receiving the Academy Award and six more nominations for it, as well as a more than 30-year film career, viewers are still looking forward to new roles for the actor.

The magazine notes that if DiCaprio had never aspired to become a big star, now he simply had no other choice — he had achieved the status of a true Hollywood legend. Throughout his career, the actor has managed to keep the attention of the public and win critical acclaim, remaining in demand both on the big screen and on the theater stage.
