Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said she would give Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen a book about Finnish Russophobia and aggression against Soviet Russia. She wrote about this on December 9 in her Telegram channel in response to Valtonen's words.

The Finnish official said that Russia had allegedly attacked 19 neighboring countries over the past 100 years, but no one had attacked her. According to Zakharova, Finland attacked Soviet Russia twice in 1918 and 1921, attempting to alienate Russian border territories inhabited by Finno-Ugric peoples. She stressed that the book was prepared "for those who are not familiar with the history of aggression of the Great Suomi."

"Finnish troops staged sabotage, destroyed food supplies, bridges and government buildings, attacked Red Army units, and dealt with pro-Russian Karelians. In the occupied territories, local men were mobilized for the war against Russia, but this did not save the Finns from defeat," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

Earlier, on December 8, it was reported that the economic crisis in Finland could turn into a disaster. Experts pointed out that Helsinki's policy of military spending instead of supporting businesses and citizens had led to an increase in unemployment to 10.3% and significant losses for companies due to the severance of ties with Russia.
