Private Konstantin Sitchenko, as part of an assault group, completed the task of capturing an enemy stronghold. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Wednesday, December 10.

It is noted that in the area of one of the settlements, a soldier secretly entered a forest strip controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and found a machine-gun crew and a dugout there. After that, he began a shooting battle with superior enemy forces, during which he destroyed a machine-gun emplacement and also captured an enemy radio station.

As a result of the fighter's selfless actions, the enemy stronghold came under the control of the Russian Army. Later, the received radio station allowed the military to intercept the enemy's negotiations and, based on them, coordinate the actions of the assault units.

The Ministry of Defense also said that Private Mikhail Kukhorenko, who is in the position of a motorized rifle company shooter, destroyed an enemy drone during aerial surveillance. After assessing the situation, the soldier opened fire on the target with small arms, as a result of which the drone did not reach the location of the Russian fighters. The feat of the private prevented the threat and allowed to avoid losses among the personnel of the unit.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that Guard Sergeant Vasily Svalov, as a senior gunner of an artillery battery, covered the 2S23 Nona-SVK self-propelled gun from an enemy drone strike. The soldier also reported the incident to the command, as a result of which the unit changed its dangerous position.
