During the time restrictions at Sheremetyevo Airport, 17 flights were canceled, 16 were redirected to alternate airfields. This was announced on December 9 by the press service of the air harbor in its Telegram channel.

"Temporary restrictions in the perimeter of Sheremetyevo Airport's airspace continue due to the introduction of the carpet signal at 14:30 Moscow time. <...> 16 flights have left for alternate airfields, 17 flights have been canceled," the message says.

It is noted that from 14:30 Moscow time to 21:00 Moscow time Sheremetyevo Airport accepted 69 flights and provided departure of 64 flights. Passengers were advised to be prepared for a longer wait during service.

The airport also emphasizes that the situation in the terminals is calm.: The staff provides support, especially to families with young children and passengers with limited mobility. Information desks, drinking fountains and hot water coolers, mother and child rooms, play areas, round‑the-clock medical centers and specialized waiting rooms, charging stations and free Wi-Fi are organized for the convenience of passengers.

The status of flights can be clarified through online scoreboards, websites and mobile applications of airlines, the Sheremetyevo press service reminds.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that temporary restrictions had been imposed on the perimeter of Sheremetyevo's airspace. As part of the security measures, the flight schedule was adjusted and the departure of flights was established in coordination with the relevant authorities.
