Russia has already secured 70% of critical technologies for the fuel and energy complex (fuel and energy complex), and the remaining 30% will be finalized within two to three years. This was announced on December 9 by Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev on the sidelines of the International Energy Forum EnergySpace.

"At the moment, we already have more than 70% of all technologies needed for the fuel and energy complex. And these are usually the most critical technologies for the fuel and energy complex. We will probably finalize the remaining 30% within two or three years. But they are no longer critical for us," he said.

The Minister stressed that Russian technologies successfully compete with foreign ones in international tenders for oil and gas production, often offering more cost-effective solutions. Despite the sanctions pressure, Russia continues to work in many countries of the world, using its own developments, the head of the Ministry of Energy emphasized.

Tsivilev noted that the details of these projects were not disclosed due to the risks of sanctions, but the fact of the successful implementation of Russian technologies abroad "is beyond any doubt."

On December 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia has one of the greenest energy resources in the world. He stressed that the Russian energy sector includes hydropower, nuclear energy and gas energy, which, according to him, is the greenest among hydrocarbon sources.

On the same day, the Russian leader declared that Russia is the only country in the world capable of building and actually building small nuclear power plants (NPP). He also noted that the United States still buys fuel for nuclear power plants from Russia.
