The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched a massive drone strike on Genichesk, there were no casualties. This was announced on December 9 by the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.

"The enemy has launched a massive drone strike on Genichesk. Our air defense worked as efficiently as possible — most of the targets were destroyed. There are no casualties," Baldo said in his Telegram channel.

According to him, as a result of the attack, several private houses on Sverdlov Street were damaged. One drone also entered the territory of a fish processing plant.

"Fortunately, there were no casualties. There were three children in one of the houses at the time of arrival. They are in a very stressful state right now," Baldo said.

The new equipment will be used for reconnaissance, strikes and installation of protective curtains in ports.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that 14 people, including one child, were injured in an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Cheboksary. All of them receive the necessary medical care. In addition, a temporary accommodation facility continues to operate on the basis of one of the educational institutions of the microdistrict. Ukrainian militants attacked with "Fierce" type drones.

The Prime Minister of Chuvashia, Sergei Artamonov, announced that a regional emergency regime would be introduced in Chuvashia in connection with the Cheboksary attacks. Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, said that Russia would respond harshly to Ukraine for attacking civilians in Cheboksary.
