Renovated school No. 1507 in Moscow will accept students in the new academic year

School No. 1507 in the Teply Stan district in Moscow will open after reconstruction in the new academic year. This was announced on Tuesday, December 9, by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in the Max messenger.

He recalled that the complete reconstruction of the 1972 building began in the spring, and the students were transferred to other buildings for the duration of the work.

Sobyanin clarified that the facade, engineering networks, windows and doors are being renovated at the school, as well as interior decoration of the premises and landscaping of the territory, writes NSN. Special attention is paid to the creation of a modern educational environment within the framework of the My School program: bright classrooms, a media library, a laboratory and research complex, sports and gyms, an updated dining room and event spaces will appear in the building, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

He also noted that the renovated school will significantly expand opportunities for additional education. Students will be able to attend sports sections — football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis — as well as clubs for young researchers, engineers, journalists and entrepreneurs. A sports core, playgrounds, quiet recreation areas and parking lots for bicycles and scooters are being created on the territory.

The mayor added that during the current academic year, about 120 schools are planned to be built and renovated in Moscow, Moscow 24 clarifies. According to him, each of them is a large amount of work, but the city will cope with the tasks set.
