Spartak Moscow Football Club (FC) is considering, among other things, Russian specialists for the position of head coach. This was announced on December 9 by Spartak CEO Sergey Nekrasov.

"We have criteria regarding who should lead such a great team <...> Russian specialists are also on the list," the Sport—Express newspaper quoted him as saying.

According to Nekrasov, the list continues to be adjusted. Allegedly, the deadline for the appointment of a new coach has not been set by the club.

Dejan Stankovic left the post of head coach of FC Spartak on November 12 by agreement of the parties. Stankovich has been in charge of Spartak since the summer of 2024. It was clarified that at the end of the 2024/25 season, the team under his leadership took fourth place in the Russian championship. Meanwhile, Vadim Romanov was appointed to the post of acting head coach of the football club.
