At Sheremetyevo Airport, 16 flights were canceled due to restrictions on the use of airspace. This was announced on December 9 in the airport's Telegram channel.

"There are adjustments in the flight schedule.14 flights went to alternate airfields, 16 flights were canceled," the publication says.

It is noted that the restrictive measures affected passenger service time and led to flight delays. Thus, the waiting time for departure and arrival flights has been increased. Airlines are also making changes to flight schedules.

Passengers were also advised to clarify information about the status of their flights through the airlines' communication channels: an online scoreboard and booking management on the website, a mobile application, a call center, and a chatbot (if available from the airline). The situation at the airport terminals is calm, and passenger service continues in accordance with federal aviation regulations.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that temporary restrictions had been imposed on the perimeter of Sheremetyevo's airspace. As part of the security measures, the flight schedule was adjusted and the departure of flights was established in coordination with the relevant authorities.
