Pskov authorities will hold a contest for the best New Year decoration

A contest for the best New Year's decoration will be held in Pskov. Shops, cafes, pharmacies, kindergartens, schools, hotels, car dealerships, sports and cultural institutions can take part in it.

According to the mayor Boris Yelkin, a separate nomination will be organized for Pskov residents who decorate their windows and courtyards with taste and soul.

Applications for participation will be accepted from December 10 to December 29. The terms of the competition can be read on the official website of the city, the Pskov News feed writes.

Earlier, on December 7, the State Duma recalled fines for uncoordinated decoration of entrances for the New Year. Thus, unauthorized decoration of entrances for the New Year, without obtaining permission from residents and the management organization, may entail administrative liability in the form of a fine: up to 15 thousand rubles for individuals and up to 400 thousand rubles for legal entities.
