The lawyer spoke about possible fines for early arrival at work.
Some companies may have internal rules regarding working hours, and being late or, conversely, arriving at work too early may be considered a violation of these rules. Early arrival fines may be imposed to maintain discipline and work schedule, as well as to ensure equal conditions for all employees. Ekaterina Alexandrovich, a lawyer and human rights defender who is a member of the Adyghe Republican Bar Association, told Izvestia on December 9.
"If you come to work earlier than required by the internal regulations, you should familiarize yourself with the internal regulations of your company. It may indicate that it is forbidden or unwelcome to arrive earlier. If it is convenient for you to arrive earlier, you can discuss this issue with your supervisor. Perhaps he will be able to make an exception or offer an alternative solution," the expert said.
If the company's rules strictly regulate the arrival time, it is better to adhere to the established schedule in order to avoid possible fines or other consequences.
The lawyer explained that fines can be imposed to ensure that employees comply with their work schedule and do not create additional difficulties for colleagues and management. For example, arriving too early may interfere with workplace preparation or disrupt workday planning.
On December 8, independent HR expert Anna Alikova told Izvestia that an employer has the right to require an employee to return from vacation ahead of schedule only in truly urgent cases.
