In the Sakhalin Region, fraudsters deceived a 51-year-old woman and her 19-year-old daughter with a "key replacement." The total damage amounted to about 28 million rubles.

According to the mother, the scammers, in the course of communicating with the girl, convinced her to give the code from an SMS message, allegedly to replace the key to the intercom. Then they said that her accounts were allegedly under threat. At the same time, the victim had an impressive amount in her account in connection with the inheritance, SakhalinMedia news agency writes.

At the time of communication with the scammers, the girl was on the mainland at the place of study. She agreed to transfer 21 million rubles to the courier. Then she came home to her mother and, on the instructions of the scammers, took $70 thousand from her mother's safe. And 3 million Japanese yen, which she moved to a cache agreed with the scammers.

A criminal case has been opened.

In Buryatia, fraudsters took more than 2.5 million rubles from a 55-year-old man. At first, he expected to receive income from investments, and then "paid" for legal services.
