During the award ceremony in the Kremlin, the son of Sergeant Nikita Afanasyev, who was awarded the title Hero of Russia posthumously, informally addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin when the head of state coughed. The footage was posted on the Kremlin's Telegram channel on December 9.

It happened in St. George's Hall after the award ceremony, when Putin invited the heroes and their families to take a photo together. The footage shows that the boy loudly wished the president good health, using the "you" address.

"Be healthy!" said the boy Anton.

In response, the Russian leader laughed and thanked the child with a smile.

Earlier that day, at the ceremony of awarding the Heroes of Russia with the Golden Star medals, the President of the Russian Federation said that the general vector of Russia's development was developing around the values of family and Homeland. He noted that the Motherland is a large and cohesive family for all citizens.
