As a result of the attack of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Cheboksary, 15 buildings were damaged. This was announced to journalists on December 9 by the Prime Minister of Chuvashia, Sergey Artamonov.

"15 buildings were damaged, 10 of them residential buildings," TASS quoted him as saying.

The politician added that the first explosion after the drone strike was heard at 06:33 Moscow time. The city services examined all the houses, cleaned the house territories.

"We will try to cover all the windows with film until the evening. And full—fledged frames and glass will be installed as planned," Artamonov explained.

The UAV attack on Cheboksary occurred earlier in the day. 14 people were injured, including one child. All of them receive the necessary medical care. In addition, a temporary accommodation facility continues to operate on the basis of one of the educational institutions of the microdistrict.

Artamonov said that a regional emergency regime will be introduced in Chuvashia in connection with the attacks on Cheboksary, which is necessary to mobilize all resources to protect the population. Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, said that Russia would respond harshly to Ukraine for attacking civilians in Cheboksary.
