Zelensky meets with Pope Leo XIV in Italy

On December 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Pope Leo XI in Italy, informing him about the work on concluding a peace agreement.

"Ukraine greatly appreciates all the support of Pope Leo XIV and the Holy See — constant humanitarian assistance, readiness to expand the presence of humanitarian missions. Today, during an audience with His Holiness, I thanked him for his constant prayers for Ukraine and Ukrainians," the Ukrainian leader wrote on his Telegram channel.
