The implementation of the healthcare development strategy should lead to a reduction in alcohol consumption in the country to 7.8 liters per capita per year by 2030. This was announced on December 9 by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.

"The implementation of the strategy will allow by 2030 <...> reduce alcohol consumption to 7.8 liters per capita," Murashko said, according to TASS.

He also noted that by this time the number of citizens leading a healthy lifestyle will increase.

Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a strategy for the development of healthcare in Russia until 2030. The same document notes that the coverage of antiretroviral therapy for HIV patients currently stands at 90.5%.
