Banks have opened accepting applications for extended terms of the "Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgages"

VTB has opened the acceptance of applications under the extended terms of the "Far Eastern and Arctic mortgages". From December 9, all large families and education workers living in the macroregion can apply for a preferential loan at 2% for the purchase of housing, the bank said.

"Thanks to the prompt start of accepting applications for mortgages at 2%, many families in the Far East and the Arctic will be able to buy long—awaited housing before the New Year and celebrate the holidays with thoughts of a housewarming party," said Alexey Okhorzin, Senior Vice President and head of VTB's Retail Products department.

The Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage program is in high demand, the bank noted. Since its launch, VTB has allocated more than 110 billion rubles to finance real estate purchases, and more than 23.3 thousand families have benefited from the program. Since the beginning of 2025, with the bank's participation, borrowers have purchased more than 273 thousand square meters of housing under the Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgages.

On December 9, the Russian Ministry of Finance expanded the terms of the preferential mortgage program "Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgages", removing the age limit for large families. Borrowers planning to purchase second homes in cities with low construction volume can also get a low-interest loan.

The Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage program allows you to get a loan of up to 9 million rubles for the purchase of an apartment in a new building with an area of 64 square meters or on the secondary market (from 60 square meters meters). In other cases, the maximum loan amount is 6 million rubles. The minimum down payment is from 20%, the loan term is up to 20 years. As a contribution or to repay part of the loan, you can use the funds of the maternity capital. The program does not apply to refinancing previously issued loans.
