The head of the Interior Ministry informed about the possible location of the former deputy Goldman

Former deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, businessman Roman Goldman, accused of fraud in the amount of more than 2 billion rubles, may be hiding in Mexico. This was announced on December 9 by Alexander Solovyov, head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, with reference to Interpol.

"Judging by [the information] Interpol, there is reason to believe that he [Goldman] is in Mexico," TASS quoted him as saying.

The investigation of the criminal case against Goldman, who has been on the international wanted list since 2024, has been completed. The case is scheduled to be brought to court in 2026. It was initiated following complaints from more than a thousand defrauded depositors of the Agro Deposit agricultural credit consumer cooperative, which was founded by Goldman. As a result of his actions, the damage exceeded 2 billion rubles.

Earlier, on February 1, 2024, it was reported that Goldman was put on the international wanted list. He was charged in absentia.

Goldman is currently abroad. On October 30, he flew from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow, after which he left the capital, flying to Minsk, and then flew to Istanbul and the Maldives, from where he returned to Istanbul. His family left Russia earlier.

The criminal case against Goldman was announced on November 24, 2023. His actions were qualified under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud"). At the same time, law enforcement agencies conducted searches in the offices of the Goldman Group holding and in Goldman's private apartment building.
