Biometric fare payments have been launched at all turnstiles of the metro and the MCC, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the channel at the MAX. The service is also available at Aeroexpress, at the berths of regular river electric transport and at several stations of the Moscow Central Diameters.

The mayor noted that Moscow holds a leading position in the world in terms of the variety of modes of transport with biometric payment function. "Given the growing popularity of such a convenient and technological payment method, we plan to launch the service at all stations of the Moscow Ring Road by the end of 2026," Sobyanin wrote.

This is a completely Russian development, which belongs to the Moscow government, the mayor emphasized. Since October 2021, when the project started, about 700 thousand people have joined the system. The system is secure and protected from unauthorized access, and user information is securely encrypted.

Sobyanin noted that contactless payment has many advantages. "You don't need cards, phones or cash anymore — just one look at the camera," the mayor said. He recalled that you can connect to the service in the Moscow Metro app.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
