Fraudsters began to disguise themselves as employers, offering "dream jobs" and extorting personal data and financial information from citizens. This was reported on December 8 in the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"The combination of working blindly through a messenger, requesting confidential data, and responding aggressively to a request for documents is a direct sign of a fraudulent scheme," the Telegram channel warned.

It is reported that the scheme begins with a tempting offer of remote work without experience and with a high daily income. After the response, communication is immediately transferred to the messenger, which in itself is atypical for official vacancies. Next, the pseudo-employer, under the pretext of "checking the software", finds out the phone model, and then, in the form of an allegedly mandatory questionnaire, requires a name, phone number, geolocation, and even bank details.

The department noted that when an applicant asks for the INN and the legal address of the company, the "manager" refuses, turning to pressure and threats.

It was emphasized that a legal organization never hides its data or accuses candidates of distrust.

It was clarified that such signs clearly indicate an attempt at fraud, the purpose of which is not to find employment, but to gain access to personal information and possible subsequent deception.
