Putin extended the ban on transactions with shares of foreigners until 2027
Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended until the end of 2027 the ban on transactions involving shares of foreign individuals from unfriendly states in strategically important Russian companies. As reported on December 8 on the official Internet portal of legal information, the relevant decree amends the document dated August 2022 on special economic measures.
It is noted that the extension of restrictions is related to the need to protect the financial and fuel and energy sectors.
Previously, the ban was initially set to last until the end of 2022, then it was consistently extended until 2023, 2025, and now until 2027.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Putin had signed a decree on rotation in the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights. The new board included representatives of educational and public organizations, and several former members were excluded from the board.
