Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated People's Artist of Russia Evgeny Steblov on his 80th birthday. In a telegram posted on the Kremlin's website on December 8, he noted that the artist devoted his life to serving art and "always maintained a high professional standard."

"You have dedicated your life to the service of art, and you have always held your professional and creative standards high. It is gratifying that today your generous, original talent and rich creative potential are in full demand not only in the acting field, but also in fruitful teaching and mentoring activities," the message of greetings reads.

Putin also wished Steblov good health, inspiration and further success.
