A service for employers and IT industry specialists has appeared in the capital.
A new IT Career service has been launched in Moscow, allowing you to evaluate the knowledge and skills of information technology professionals. With its help, applicants can confirm their qualifications, and companies can check the competencies of candidates for vacancies, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
The service is available on the i.moscow platform. "The assessment is conducted in a testing format. There are more than 100 questions in each area, including theoretical and practical parts. Currently, the program covers 40 specialties, from mobile application developers to digital product designers," Sergunina emphasized, adding that the list will expand.
On average, the test takes about 120 minutes to complete. Based on the results, the user will find out how many points he scored for each competence. He will also receive a certificate indicating his skill level. The validity period of the document is two years. Anyone can try their hand.
Next year, the functionality of the service will be updated: there will be tasks for writing computer code, as well as cases for understanding industry-specific business tasks.
More than 30 large domestic companies have recognized the effectiveness of the methodology, the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the capital said. They stressed that the IT Career project was launched in order to support interest in digital specialties and provide Muscovites with a tool to effectively assess their professional level.
