The United Russia political Party, together with the Veterans of Special Military and Counter-Terrorism Operations (SVO and KTO) Foundation, handed over weapons to the Russian Army. This was announced on December 8 on the party's website.

Vladimir Yakushev, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, met with fighters at the party's public support headquarters in the Rostov region. According to him, the cargo was assembled at the request of the servicemen themselves and includes smoothbore rifles and special cartridges for shooting down drones. Yakushev expressed gratitude to the soldiers for their exploits in the special operation zone.

United Russia stressed that the party has brought together a large number of partners, including the Yekaterinburg-based Veterans of Special Military and Counterterrorism Operations Foundation, with which a cooperation agreement has been signed.

"They bring together participants and veterans of a special military operation. The guys who, for various reasons (someone was injured, someone's contract ended) are no longer in the ranks today, but they are well aware that in civilian life we need to do everything so that our victory comes as soon as possible," Yakushev stressed.

Sergey Pavlenko, head of the SVO and KTO Veterans Foundation, added that every cargo sent to the front is a fulfillment of the organization's obligations and a response to the requests of the fighters. He noted that the shipment of cargo to the front line in Rostov is the result of a constant dialogue with the military, which makes it possible to adapt assistance as effectively as possible.

Prior to that, on October 29, the press service of the Popular Front reported that the movement was helping the volunteer community to organize the production of retort packages with food for military personnel in the SVO zone. In such a container, you can pack a daily ration for military personnel, which fits in your pocket. After serious refinement, the packaging began to withstand even a fall from a height, for example, if it is dropped from a quadcopter. This makes it possible to quickly organize the safe delivery of food to combat areas, the press service said.
