Alexander Matsegora, Russia's authorized ambassador to the DPRK, died at the age of 71. This was reported on December 8 on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The Russian Foreign Ministry deeply regrets to announce that on December 6, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea A.I. Matsegora passed away at the age of 71," the publication says.
The Ministry expressed sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, noting his outstanding contribution to the development and strengthening of the strategic partnership between Russia and the DPRK.
