The stormtroopers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were unable to succeed in the counterattack and retreated with losses to their starting positions west of the Estuary in the Kharkiv region. This was reported on December 8 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

It is specified that the Ukrainian militants of the 225th separate assault regiment conducted one counterattack in the forest west of the Estuary.

It was clarified that the regiment was almost completely destroyed by high-explosive aerial bombs (FAB).
