Sobyanin spoke about new artistic lighting facilities in Moscow
Today, Moscow is one of the three most illuminated cities in the world, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said in the MACH messenger. More than a million outdoor lighting fixtures and architectural and artistic lighting work in the city at night, while more than half of them use energy-efficient lamps.
During 2025, it is planned to make new artistic lighting on more than a hundred buildings in the capital, the mayor noted. Among them are fifty schools, the facades of which were restored under the My School program, a picturesque Bridge, the Moskvich Cultural Center, the Tsarskaya Embankment in the Kolomenskoye Museum Reserve, several temples, including on Malakhitova Street in Rostokine, in the Krylatsky and Tagansky districts, as well as a historical building with a brownie the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky on Bolshaya Sadovaya Street. The next object to receive unique artistic lighting will be the facade of the Large Sports Arena in Luzhniki. It will feature a multimedia space using modern video mapping technology and dynamic lighting. The skating rink with light installations will become part of the overall composition.
Since 2011, the number of objects with architectural and artistic illumination in Moscow has increased fourfold — about 2.4 thousand buildings and structures create a unique artistic atmosphere of the Russian capital.
