Businessman Stas Egovtsev, who was trained by convicted fraud coach Ayaz Shabutdinov, was accused of not paying money to investors. Marina Kelbakh, the lawyer of one of the victims, told Izvestia about this on December 8.

She clarified that Egovtsev urged people to invest in his taxi company, but then stopped paying the promised interest and disappeared abroad. At the moment, at least 25 victims are known to have joined forces to recover their funds.

"Egovtsev took 1 million rubles from my client, and every month he had to pay him 25 thousand rubles as interest, and then repay the loan," the lawyer emphasized.

According to her, the businessman paid interest for about six months, but since September payments have stopped. The human rights defender noted that the court had recovered money from Egortsev in favor of her client. At the same time, the businessman publicly denies involvement in this incident. Kelbach added that Egovtsev, according to his representative, is abroad.

According to media reports, the businessman continues to attract investments in his projects, and calls all the accusations against him the machinations of fraudsters.

Shabutdinov was detained on November 3, 2023 after complaining about the educational courses he had sold, and he was arrested the next day. The blogger is charged under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud"). In October 2024, Shabutdinov's lawyer informed Izvestia about the end of the investigation into the blogger's case. In April last year, the court seized the coach's property.

On April 2, 2025, his lawyer Kaloy Akhilgov stated that Shabutdinov had completely repented of what he had done and asked for forgiveness from users dissatisfied with his training on his social media page. According to the human rights activist, Coach took this step despite the many proofs of his innocence.

On October 31, Shabutdinov was sentenced to seven years in prison for fraud on an especially large scale.
