A new textbook has been developed in Transbaikalia for high school students. It will appear as part of the study of the subject "Transbaikalia Studies".
The textbook covers a period of history since 1914, said Victoria Turitsyna, Deputy Minister of Education of the region.
According to her, quoted by ChitaMedia news agency, a unique project, the Zabaikalovedenie educational and methodological complex, has been implemented in the region since 2018. This year, together with the Institute for Educational Development of Zabaykalsky State University, another teaching manual was developed. It tells about the history of the region from 1914 to the present. The manual is designed for students from grades 10 to 11.
The textbook complements the course of national history, it helps to learn more about the history of the region. The second part of the textbook tells about the cultural heritage of Transbaikalia, introduces schoolchildren to the sights of the region.
Earlier it was reported that the first atomic class was opened in the Trans-Baikal Territory. It was formed on the basis of school No. 5 of the Aginsky Buryat district. There are only seven such classes in Russia. The only school from Transbaikalia was among the seven schools across Russia in the Rosatom Schools network. In this class, the training takes place in the mathematical and natural science profile. Research and project activities are planned.
