- Sobyanin spoke about the completion of the reconstruction of five polyclinics in Moscow
Five more buildings of renovated polyclinics have been opened in several districts of Moscow after the completion of reconstruction work, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
"Among them is the Children's City Polyclinic No. 32 on Fadeev Street in the Tver region," he wrote on his channel in the MAX. "In just a year, we have brought the 1957 building to the new Moscow standard."
In particular, communications, air conditioning systems and an elevator were replaced with DGP No. 32. In addition, the clinic has been equipped with the most modern medical equipment, thanks to which "doctors can use modern diagnostic methods," Sobyanin said.
The number of pediatrician's offices has been increased from four to nine. They also made a separate entrance for patients with signs of infection and created a more comfortable barrier-free environment. In addition, the clinic has a healthy child's room, play areas and a buffet, and the surrounding area has been improved.
According to the mayor, four more polyclinics were opened after the reconstruction — in Levoberezhny, Solntsevo, Akademicheskiy district and in Nekrasovka. "There are plans to build about 20 more new polyclinics," the mayor said, adding that these works are part of a "continuous program to improve the quality of outpatient care."
In May, during a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sobyanin said that 85% of Moscow's polyclinics had already been upgraded to the new standard. According to the mayor, the government of the capital is implementing "a unique, the largest in the history of urban healthcare, a comprehensive primary care reconstruction program, which includes the modernization of about 340 polyclinic buildings." The project was launched in 2020, and its main activities are planned to be completed by the end of 2025.
