According to IA AmurMedia, a resident of the village of Achan is accused of poaching, which he was engaged in in August this year. On the Amur River, he illegally caught eight specimens of autumn chum salmon during spawning. At the same time, he used a motorboat and nets. The damage from his actions exceeded 170 thousand rubles. The man said that he planned to use the caught fish for personal consumption.
In addition, charges were brought against residents of Amursk and the village of Voznesenskoye. In early September, they were detained in the Amur River near the village of Dippi for illegally catching 10 specimens of autumn chum salmon. The damage from their actions was estimated at an amount exceeding 200 thousand rubles.
A criminal investigation has been initiated under the article "Illegal extraction (fishing) of aquatic biological resources. The penalty under this article is from two to five years in prison. In relation to the accused, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.
Earlier it was reported that a criminal investigation into the illegal storage of aquatic biological resources had been completed in the Khabarovsk Territory. The charge was brought against a 42-year-old resident of Amursk. During the search, pieces of sturgeon and containers of black caviar were found in his possession. The total weight of delicacies exceeded 15 kg.
