The liberation of the village of Rovnoye made it possible to expand the buffer zone around Krasnoarmeysk. This was announced on December 8 by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin.
"A buffer zone is expanding around Krasnoarmeysk itself," he said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
Earlier, on November 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin received reports on the liberation of Krasnoarmeysk in the DPR and Volchansk in the Kharkiv region.
