A heating pipe burst in the building of the central hospital of Severo-Kurilsk as a result of an earthquake. This was reported on December 8 in the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Sakhalin region.
"Due to the tremors, a heating pipe burst in the building of the North Kuril Central Regional Hospital," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that the district prosecutor went to the scene of the incident. The consequences of repairing the damage are under the control of the Prosecutor's Office.
An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 was recorded off the coast of the northern Kuril Islands on November 29. The epicenter was located about 209 km south of Severo-Kurilsk, on Paramushir Island, the center was located at a depth of about 56 km.
