The United States of America intends to allocate $800 million to provide assistance to Ukraine in 2026-2027. This follows from the draft budget of the Pentagon published on December 7.
"For the 2026 fiscal year — $400 million. For the 2027 fiscal year — $ 400 million," TASS cites information from the document.
It is specified that the discussion of this issue in the Congress will begin this week.
The Kyiv Post newspaper reported on December 7 that the US government is considering increasing military aid to Ukraine by Catholic Christmas, which is celebrated on December 25. It was clarified that this may indicate Washington's intention to support Kiev with weapons, even despite the statement about its unwillingness to assume additional obligations for the defense of Europe within the framework of NATO.
